I enjoy seeing what people searched for that brought them to my blog.

I woke up at 9:30 this morning. I went to bed at exactly 1 am, so I had exactly eight and a half hours of sleep. There’s something about waking up at a precise time that makes me want to get up straight away. Soon after waking up, I shoveled snow. It’s supposed to snow again Monday, but I hope it only warrants a delay on Tuesday at the most.

Once I came inside from shoveling, I went on the computer and put a ton of songs on my Ipod. Most of them were by The Everly Brothers, although others were by The Clash, The Mountain Goats, Priscilla Ahn, Streetlight Manifesto, Tom Lehrer, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, and a very old Russian man. His first name is Vladimir, and I do not recall his last.

Later, I knit a bit (the Ravelympics, a knitting and crocheting version of the Olympics that is hosted by a knitting and crocheting site called Ravelry, started today), and I watched the majority of a swell movie called Hope and Glory. Meine Mutti recommended it to me yesterday evening, and I was lucky enough that it was on Netflix Instant Watch. I was really excited a little while ago when I saw that the point I paused the movie at earlier was 1:23:40. That was extraordinary for me to see.

Oh, my state tax refund came in the mail today. I got back sixty-seven dollars.

Around 3:30 pm, I got ready for work. I left at 3:48 pm and worked from 4 pm to 8 pm. A few notable events occurred at work:

[1]Six teenage boys (I’d guess they were fourteen or fifteen) came into Safeway. They were wearing hooded sweatshirts, all with the hoods up. They were certainly hooligans, as they pushed each other around back and forth like hooligans often do. A little while later, Suzie, one of the managers, escorted them all out. It was funny to watch because she is so short and they were so tall. They were kicked out because they were shoplifting.

[2]Jordan, one of the cashiers, gave me one of the Olympic pins that were being “awarded” to customers who spent a certain amount. I took it, because I had been eying them enviously the whole evening, but now I’m feeling kind of guilty about taking it. It’s a really neat pin, anyhow.

[3]Since I was snowed in last week on payday, I received two paychecks today. I have so much money right now that I don’t know what to do with it, but that was still exciting.

After work, I bought a new charger and USB cord for my camera on eBay, because I lost both long ago and my camera needs to be charged now. It’s from Hong Kong, so it will probably take a really long time to arrive, but I’m fine with waiting because the same thing for sale from US sellers was more than triple the price. I am also waiting for a purple watch to come in the mail, that I ordered a few days ago, also from Hong Kong. A lot of awesome stuff is for sale on eBay that comes from Hong Kong. This is what the watch looks like:

I like it a lot.

I’m going to go ahead and call it a night. Here’s a music video that has always made me smile:

Oh, and since only one person on Facebook has responded to this question, I’ll ask it here too:
What band or singer do you listen to the most?
